Overview

Whitlam Label Company was founded in 1957 by Elmer Whitlam, who started producing labels from the basement of his home. By 1968, due to rapid growth, Mr. Whitlam had moved from his basement to a facility on the East side of Detroit.

In 1973, Whitlam Label Company was purchased by the Shaieb family. With only four presses and four employees, the Shaieb family entered into the rapidly expanding automotive sector. By 1989, we had grown to 3 different facilities, increasing market shares, improved production capabilities and a well diversified customer base. Whitlam Label Company relocated to a 120,000 sq ft facility located in Center Line, Michigan where we are currently located.

Today Whitlam Label Company is a recognized industry leader with multiple environmentally controlled facilities. Through nearly 5 decades of award winning experience, Whitlam Label Company remains a world class, premier supplier of custom printed labels, tags and flexible packaging.
